Iris House – de Vere Acuma Annual Grand Ball – 27th August 2016

Iris House and our event sponsor  de Vere AcumaGroup South Africa invite you to join us for an evening of luxury and top class entertainment. This year’s annual ball (Our 5th to date) promises to be even more spectacular than ever. Our theme this year is “The Great Gatsby” dress for the theme or dust of your tux and ball gowns, glamour and fun are the order of the night.

Our venue is the Five Star Table Bay Hotel, who will ensure our guests feel like royalty. MC Danilo Acquisto “Afternoon Express Presenter” will be on hand to ensure the evening runs smoothly and to entertain our guest.

The evening starts at 6 pm with pre-dinner bubbly and oysters with entertainment,  photo booth and plenty of surprises in the ballroom reception area. Our guest of honour and guest speaker Premier of the Western Cape – Helen Zille will be on hand to mingle with guests.

At 7 pm, the ballroom doors will open to reveal our spectacular Gatsby themed layout. You will be shown to your seats and entertained by our opening act.  Each table will have a selection of red and white estate wines for your enjoyment. Each guest also receives an exclusive goodie bag.  Executive Chef  Jocelyn Myers-Adams has put together a mouth-watering three-course menu with a vegetarian option available.

Dinner will be followed by our exciting auction with many fantastic items to bid on including a piece from renowned artists Lionel Smit.

Dessert will be served in the reception area with over ten different mouth watering desserts to choose from. (scroll down for full menu detail)  We then invite you to dance the rest of the night away to the tunes of our featured artist none other than the amazing Jimmy Nevis

All proceeds from the evening will be used for the further development, expansion and running cost of  Iris House Children’s Hospice and to continue the  free community-based respite care service  we provide for special needs children with life limited and life threatening conditions.
