Iris House held a Mad Hatter themed Cuppa4Care High Tea on the 30th of September in the hospice gardens There were plenty of give aways and a huge selection of sweets and savouries for everyones taste. There was also an art auction were grabbing a great deal was certainly the order of the day. The fantastic Barbara Kleinpenning provided beautiful entertainment and set the tone with her talented keyboard playing. The Edge Church volunteers who have assisted Iris House for over a year with events, were on hand to serve Graham Beck MCC, and help in every way with decor, layout and running of the event (we are extremely grateful for their help)
Thanks to the money raised from tickets sales, Tombola and the art auction the event raised over R12 000 00 in profit to be used for the running of the free respite service offered by Iris House to special needs children in the Western Cape
